Anche questo aeromobile costituisce una svolta nella storia virtuale in Tropic Air: l’apertura del servizio CARGO, una fitta rete di collegamenti commerciali con le numerose isole caraibiche.
Assieme al C130 rappresenta la linfa vitale della compagnia assicurando ottimi profitti. Ecco quindi un aereo speciale per trasportare ogni genere di materiale, organico, inorganico, pericoloso...
Molti lo ritengono pericoloso, data la scarsa manutenzione al quale viene sottoposto. Quale nome più indovinato di "The Last Waltz", dunque, per i trasporti tropicani?
La versione per Flight Simulator è a cura di Erick Cantu e Fraser Turner, pannello di Richard Probst e Luca De Battista, livrea tropicana disegnata da Stefano Ferri.
Recentemente e' stato inserito anche nel servizio HOSPITAL, assieme al 747 e al 757.
Il 727 cargo tropicano e' identificato con la sigla "TAF023".
